The following is from an email from the Township's primary coordinator for this event.
The entire event was a great success. We are guessing that an estimated 4000 to 5000 people came to see the wall. Thank you again for your help.
Thank you for escorting our special guest, “The Wall That Heals”. Your group’s participation in the escort and those who have also helped and come to see the “Wall” has made for a very special time. The unofficial count of almost 100 motorcycles on Wednesday was more than we could have hoped for. We have received so many positive comments from residents and others about how moving this experience has been for them and family members.
I believe that we have, through this event, touched many people who would have never had the opportunity to see the “VVMW” or “The Wall That Heals”.
Thank you again for your participation.
There is a portion of the Escort on the Township's facebook page and there will also be some pictures posted soon.
