**** MISSION IS A STAND DOWN******
A request came in from Leticia Buchanan (Lone Wolf), her son is coming home from a deployment in Africa this Saturday 11/2. Details are sketchy until her son hits the states. She is hoping to have him escorted from Southampton to fox chase. I told her we will make arrangements when we have some full details.
Blake knew what he wanted to do before he finished high school in 2020. For his 16th birthday, he asked his mom to take him to the Army recruitment office where he joined the Army National Guard. He was with the guard during his senior year after which he went to boot camp. His MOS is Infantry. He received the infantry blue rope, Army Service ribbon, and National Defense Ribbon as well as the Sharpshooter metal. He was Deployed to the Horn of Africa where he celebrated his 21st birthday this past July. he also received his combat patch.
He went to High School at the Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, where he majored in vocals. He is a talented singer and avid guitarist. He has a major love for history, especially World War II era. He wants to get involved in World War II reenactment.
It has always been just Blake and me. As an Air Force veteran, I am proud to have my son following his dream of being in the military. I don't know if he will continue to serve after his six years, but whatever he decides to do, I will always have his six.
Blake and his unit will be arriving into Southhampton at approximately 230 - 300 pm on Saturday November 2nd. Their flight gets into Harrisburg at 1240, and it is about an hour and a half drive from the airport give or take. I will text you on Saturday when he gets to the airport in Harrisburg.
It would be nice to have a flag line for all these young men coming home.
